Session leaders, to provide an introduction to the work being presented in your session, you will be given an extra 5 minutes for your presentation. Thus you will have a 20 minute slot with 15 minutes allocated to the presentation and 5 minutes for questions.
Presentations format
We are assuming that all presentations will be prepared using PowerPoint and that all you require is to have your presentation uploaded onto a computer and projected using standard data projection. If you have any additional requirements you must let us know (contact Challenger2008@bangor.ac.uk) by the 1st Sept and we will do our utmost to accommodate you.
It will NOT be possible for you to use your own laptop.
We have been informed that presentations prepared on an Apple Mac computer should run on a standard PC however, if you are preparing your presentation on an Apple Mac please ensure you test PC compatability yourself prior to arriving at the conference.
All presentations will be run on PowerPoint, Microsoft Office XP, Windows XP. To avoid compatibility problems, we recommend that presentations prepared with Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007 are saved in PowerPoint 97-2003 file format before submission.
We will provide the possibility to use a VHS video player, as well as digital file formats for stand-alone use or embedding in Powerpoint. Media players for the following file formats will be made available: AVI, MPEG, MOV/QT, WMV and RM. If you have any different requirements that you have not already alerted us to, please let us know (contact Challenger2008@bangor.ac.uk) as soon as possible and before September 1st.
We would appreciate if you could let us know whether you plan to use VHS or digital video. It is also time now to identify any special requirements you may have, so we can deal with these well before the start of the conference.
